My research interests lie in the area of mechanics of biological materials and structures, including ultrastructural origins of bone fragility fractures, digital model of trabecular bone and its application in deep learning prediction of bone fractures, and prediction/prevention of bone fragility fractures. I have been serving as PI for multiple NIH (R03, R21s and R01s) and NSF supported projects.
