Beverly Wheeler, MSN, RN
Assistant Professor/Clinical
Beverly Wheeler joined the UT Health at San Antonio, formally University of Texas Health Science Center. in January 2008. She presently teaches the traditional nursing Adult II, Leadership and Management, and Foundations clinical courses. She brought a wealth of knowledge with her as a Clinical Nurse Specialist certified in Adult Health. Her specialty is Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. She came to Texas from Northern Virginia where she worked at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, formally National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD initially in the Telemetry Unit, which included cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical patients. After receiving her master’s degree, she worked as the Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Telemetry Unit and was a member of the Command Nurse Intern Program. She then worked as the Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Cardiology/ Cardiothoracic Surgery Service Line. She also worked part time at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA within her specialty. In addition, she taught at Marymount University, Arlington, VA as an adjunct clinical Instructor for senior nursing students.
