  Funding Agency National Institutes of Mental Health Title Functional neuroanatomy of social rejection and perceived internal threat in anxious youth at high-risk for bipolar disorder Status Active Period 6/2017 - 5/2021 Role Principal Investigator Grant Detail The aim of this NIH Career Development Award is to significantly increase my knowledge of research methodologies integrating neuroimaging and longitudinal clinical translational design for children and adolescents at high-risk for bipolar disorder (BD). The goal of this study is to elucidate the neural underpinnnings of social cognition in youth at high-risk for BD and associate these findings with anxiety and emotion regulation. We aim to establish a biological framework with which to measure treatments targeting social cognitive processes in order to ameliorate anxiety and prevent mood symptoms in youth at high-risk for BD.
