Wiley D. Perkins, MD
Associate Professor/Clinical
Dr. Wiley Perkins is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio in 2002 as an Assistant Professor/Clinical, rising to the rank of Associate Professor/Clinical in 2009. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1995 before going on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the same institution in 1998. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Perkins has been awarded Outstanding Faculty Award and Outstanding Clinical Teacher many times over the years and has been a New Hospitalist Faculty Mentor in the Division of Hospital Medicine since 2014; he also received SA Magazine's distinction as one of the "Best San Antonio Doctors" in 2018, 2020, and 2022, America's Best Internist Texas Magazine's "Top Internist 2021", "Internal Medicine Resident Feedback Star" (2016-2017), "Teacher of the Year for Inpatient Faculty" (2015-2016), "Outstanding Faculty Award" (2010, 2014, 2015), and numerous others.
