William S. Moore, D.D.S., M.S.
Assistant Professor/Clinical
William S. Moore, D.D.S., M.S., graduated with distinction from the University of Redlands, Redlands, California, in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 1978 he graduated with a D.D.S. degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry. He entered the Air Force upon graduation and completed a two-year advanced education program in General Dentistry from 1982 to 1984. From 1994 to 1997 he completed a master's program in Dental Diagnostic Science at UT Health San Antonio. He is board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry and the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Moore served with the Air Force for 21 years achieving the rank of full colonel. He has been an assistant base dental surgeon several times and was director of the Almquist Stereolithography lab and the Air Force Dental Processing Center at the time of his retirement. He served as a special consultant in Dental Radiology to the Air Force Assistant Surgeon General for Dental Services and the Air Force Dental Investigation Service. He was an outstanding graduate of the Air Force Air War College. Dr. Moore is the recipient of the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal (three oak leaf clusters). He is a member of the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. He has been published in the journal Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Endodontics and Quintessence International. His current research interests include advanced digital imaging techniques and applications.
