Belinda Lopez, a native San Antonian, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University in 1993. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and Post Master’s in Nurse Midwifery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston in 2002. Mrs. Lopez worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife in private practice and has worked in maternal fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrical women, specializing in diabetes pump management. She is also very active in the San Antonio Nurses in Advanced Practice group, serving as Treasurer from 2013-2017. Mrs. Lopez joined our department as Specialist-Certified Nurse Midwife in August of 2017.
