M. Rosina Finley BSN, MD, CMD is a Family and Community Medicine (F&CM) and Geriatrics physician currently practicing Long Term Care (LTC) and Hospice and Palliative Care. She is passionate about providing quality care to the elderly and serving the LTC continuum community, its residents and families and the individuals that care for those residents.  She has been instrumental in developing the UTHSCSA LTC curriculum which is currently being used in the training of interdisciplinary professional students, medical students, interns and residents, geriatric and hospice and palliative care fellows, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, and chaplains.  She precepts and mentors physicians interested in becoming medical directors in LTC and Hospice and Palliative Care. She is also involved in providing ethics education as a preceptor with UTHSCSA’s Center for Humanities and Ethics.  She serves as a community liaison for many of the long term care and hospice and palliative educational programs at UTHSCSA. She is dedicated to the recruitment and retention of qualified LTC healthcare professionals of all disciplines and creating educational programs and pipelines in primary care geriatrics and hospice and palliative care.  In addition, she speaks at the local, state and national levels on cross-cultural ethics.
