Glen Monteiro, MD, MPH
Specialist- Hospital Medicine Fellow
Dr. Glen Monteiro is currently a Clinical Hospital Medicine Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Monteiro earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the Government Medical College of Shivaji University in Maharashtra, India in 2003 before going on to complete his Family Medicine residency at Virginia Commonweal University in 2011 and a Preventative Medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2013 (serving as Chief Resident from 2012-2013). He also holds a Masters of Public Health degree which he earned at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Public Health in 2013.
Dr. Monteiro is board-certified in Family Medicine with the American Board of Family Medicine as well as General Preventative Medicine & Public Health and Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventative Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the American College of Preventative Medicine.
