Ashley Sanchez, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Ashley Sanchez is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. She is a general physiatrist with a primary clinical interest in spasticity management using botulinum toxin injections and baclofen pumps, amputee rehabilitation and prosthetic management, and non-operative musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
A proud South Texas native, Dr. Sanchez completed her undergraduate degree at UT Rio Grande Valley before earning her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UT Health Houston. She subsequently completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, where she also served as chief resident.
Her approach to patient care is guided by providing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment tailored to individual needs. She champions a patient-centered approach, emphasizing shared decision making with the goal of maximizing function and enhancing quality of life.
