Teemar R Carey, DMD, MSEd
Associate Professor/Clinical
In 2015, Dr. Carey earned her D.M.D. and M.S.Ed. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, she completed advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. In 2017, Dr. Carey returned to The Bahamas, her home country, and practiced in both private and public health sectors. However, her passion for teaching and mentoring drew her back to academia.
In 2018, Dr. Carey began her career as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at New York University. From 2020-2023, she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida.
Dr. Carey is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 2019.
