Dr. Mady Stovall is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in addition to a board certified adult nurse practitioner. She has worked in oncology as a registered nurse since 1995. She began working as an oncology nurse practitioner in 2004. Over the next decade, Mady published multiple times, in books and journals, and was sought after as a speaker frequently. In 2014 she and her family moved from San Francisco to San Antonio, and she spent her first year in San Antonio at UT Health School of Nursing as an assistant professor. She then started her doctoral studies, where she focused on trauma for the next 5 years. After completing her doctorate, she decided to diversify her NP credential so that she could provide mental health care, so next she obtained her credentials as a PMHNP from UT Health School of Nursing. She joined the Transitional Care Clinic in 2022 where she provides care to seriously mentally ill clients who have recently been hospitalized.
