Ameer Ahmed, MD
Assistant Professor/Clinical
Dr. Ameer Ahmed is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Assistant Professor/Clinical in July 2022. Dr. Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior (with a minor in Philosophy) at the University of California at Irving in 2012 before going on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at St. George's University in Grenada in 2017. After completing his Family Medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA in 2020 (acting as Chief Resident from 2019 to 2020), Dr. Ahmed continued his education by completing a Hospital Medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in June 2022.
Dr. Ahmed is a member of several professional organizations including the Society of Hospital Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians and he has served the population by donating his time with the California Medical Association and New York Cares.
