Dr. Marie Charpentier PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT, ATC, LAT currently serves as the Director of Rehabilitation at the University of Texas San Antonio. Before joining the UT Health system, Marie was the Coordinator for the Sports Physical Therapy Residency and Athletic Training Residency programs at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital in Houston, Texas. Marie is a Board Certified Orthopaedic and Sports Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency and the Orthopaedic Fellowship in Sports Rehabilitation at the nationally renowned Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. She is originally from Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia in 2003 with her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Certification. Marie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006. She is an active member of both the APTA and NATA, serving on several committees at the local and national levels. As a dual credentialed practitioner, Marie is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration in athlete rehabilitation.
