Douglas J Creedon, MD
Dr. Creedon received a B.S. in Biology from Pennsylvania State University in 1984 and his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Virginia in 1990. After performing biomedical research for several years, he went back to school to complete his M.D. degree which he received from Mayo Medical School in 2001. During medical school, he became committed to Women's Health and subsequently completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was offered a position at Mayo Clinic and while there, served as the Vice Chair for Education for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and advanced to the academic position of Associate Professor. He joined the faculty of UT Health San Antonio in 2021 and in addition to his care of patients on Labor and Delivery, plays an active role in resident and medical student education in the clinical setting. He has held leadership positions in local and national organizations including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society for Ob-Gyn Hospitalists. He also has served in the United States Army Reserve for 33 years, achieving the rank of Colonel, and currently is the Deputy Commander of the 380th Hospital Center based in Bell, California.
