I am a Certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with 11 years experience.  The majority of my experience is in the Urgent Care and Emergency Room settings.  I am interested in diabetes and thyroid disorders and continue to find new ways to offer exceptional heatlhcare services to the children of San Antono.  I have vast knowledge in acute and chronic childhood illnesses along with minor injuiry treatments.  I practice diligently, efficiently and prudent following the current clinical guidelines according to the AAP, ADA and Pediatric Endocrine Society including current research in children's health. In my personal well-being, I have a passion to promote health and wellness through exercise.  I lead an active lifestyle participating in many running races (5K through marathons, cycling up and over Centrury Rides (100+ miles) and triathlons.  I have trained successfully and complete 3 half Ironman (70.3 miles) distances and 2 full Ironman distance (140.6 miles of swimming, cycling and running).  This may not have much to do with my professional life but I feel it has been such a big impact in my life.  My active and competitive spirit has made me into a better person, co-worker, provider and friend.  It has shown me that I can accomplish anything, overcome difficult situations and life challenges and the importance of teamwork.  I also believe that "Anything is Possible".  My favorite quote is "If it doesn't challenge you; it doesn't change you" by Fred DeVito..
