Lara Voigt, MD
Director, Hospital Medicine Procedure Service
Associate Professor/Clinical
Dr. Lara Voigt is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Associate Professor/Clinical in November 2021 as well as the Associate Section Chief of Scheduling and Quality Improvement in the Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Voigt earned her Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 before going on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA in 2013. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI in 2016. Dr. Voigt is the recipient of several honors including the "Gold Humanism Award" (2013) and the "Best New Innovation Poster Award" (2018) and she is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.She has also received the Division of Hospital Medicine's "Rookie Physician of the Year Award" in 2022, recognized by her peers as a rising star in the Division.
Dr. Voigt has served the local and international community by donating her time with the Global Service Corp, Unite for Sight, the Cachamsi Clinic, and the Child Family Health International (CFHI) organizations, among others.
