An experienced, fluent in the Spanish language, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Assistant Professor/Clinical offering expertise in the didactic delivery of diagnosis and management of psychiatric patients across the life span and supervision during clinical involvement. Utilize innovative and individualized teaching approaches to meet the diverse learning styles of the students and adapt to synchronous and asynchronous learning class settings. Served as a behavioral health consultant for organizations, junior clinicians, and nursing students. My areas of expertise include education regarding assessment, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric disorders across the life span, individual and group psychotherapy, and medication management. Throughout my military and civilian career, my commitment has been to mentor and educate junior nurse practitioners, psychiatric nurses, and behavioral health residents of all disciplines to succeed as future clinicians and leaders to support bridge the gap in the behavioral health field and the underserved mentally ill population. I am a professional who recognizes diversity and strives to promote equality, and inclusion in my daily practice.
