Dr. Ariel Vinas earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) medical school. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and was the main instructor of the advanced medical Spanish class for students of all disciplines while in medical school. He subsequently completed internal medicine training at Parkland/UT Southwestern in Dallas and later returned to San Antonio for his general cardiology fellowship at UTHSCSA where he also served as the chief fellow. He has been the recipient of faculty/teacher of the year. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT, and General Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He has a passion for preventive cardiology, advanced imaging, and medical education.
