Abhijit G Sunnapwar, M.D.
Abhijit G. Sunnapwar, MD
is an Associate Professor in Abdominal Imaging with special interest in hepatobiliary and prostate imaging. Additionally he serves as program director of Body MRI fellowship and chief of Body MRI, and also serves as Radiology Liaison to transplant surgery and Mays Cancer Center. He is a fellow of Society of Abdominal Imaging.
Dr. Sunnapwar did his medical schooling from Yavatmal, India and Radiology residency from one of the most premier institutes in the country: King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He did further subspecialty training with fellowship in body MRI in 2007 at UT Health San Antonio and continued as a faculty member in the section of Abdominal imaging. Dr. Sunnapwar enjoys teaching residents and fellows and has conducted several workshops in national and international radiology meetings.
In his free time, Dr. Sunnapwar enjoys gardening, swimming, cooking, tennis, spending time with his family and dog, and listening to podcasts.
