Dr. Rudy Solis PT, DPT earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Medicine from The University of Texas in San Antonio. Rudy initially entered the physical therapy profession as a Physical Therapist Assistant after completing his AAS degree from Laredo Community College. He has experience in various settings including acute care, outpatient orthopaedic, pediatrics, and sports medicine. In August 2019, he earned his Certification as a Sports and Orthopaedic Manual Therapist through the Institute of Athlete Regeneration and is actively completing a Sports and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellowship (FAAOMPT). He is proud to be a part of the UT Health Physical Therapy team who are committed to lifelong learning and strive to the achievement of advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities for excellence in practice. He currently mentors UTMB Bridge and Traditional DPT students. In addition, he has received training and certification through Functional Movement Systems including the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and Titleist Performance Institute. He is also trained in Blood Flow restriction training and Certified in Dry Needling.
