Cindy Y Shieh, D.O.
Dr. Cindy Shieh, a New Jersey native, studied Human Biology and Health at Cornell University, where her interest in medicine started. She graduated in 2007 and spent the next two years as a data analyst at Boston Medical Center delving into the world of autism and "Reach Out and Read". During that time, her interest in medicine was apparent and further enhanced by experiences with influential medical professionals. Dr. Shieh then attended Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Nevada and graduated in 2010. She returned to New Jersey where she completed a family medicine residency program at Morristown Medical Center and more importantly, spent time with her family. She relocated to Texas to join her fiancé in hopes of accomplishing another dream of hers which is to start a family.
Dr. Shieh is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment. In her spare time, she enjoys painting/drawing, singing, kickboxing, hiking, reading science fiction and fantasy novels and watching movies and Broadway musicals. She has always loved to teach with past experiences including subjects in math, chemistry and Chinese dance. She is excited to be a part of an academic institution like UT Health San Antonio and is delighted to be a part of the primary care team at the MARC.
