Mostafa S Shehabeldin, DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Mostafa Shehabeldin is an experienced clinician with over 10 years of clinical experience in general dentistry, dentoalveolar surgery, periodontics, and implant dentistry. He earned his dental degree from Cairo University (Egypt) with distinction and honors in 2010, then went on to pursue clinical practice in hospital, academic and private settings. Between 2014 and 2021, Dr. Shehabeldin pursued a master's and a PhD degree in Oral and Craniofacial sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2024, Dr. Shehabeldin completed an advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery and a second master's degree from the University of Michigan. During his graduate studies, Dr. Shehabeldin conducted high quality basic, clinical and translational research focusing on bone regeneration and periodontal disease immunotherapeutics. Dr. Shehabeldin is a published author with several original research and review articles published in well-respected dental and biomedical journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Immunology and the Journal of Periodontology.  Dr. Shehabeldin is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics where he is involved in teaching, clinical research and maintains an active faculty practice.
