Yogita Sharma-Segon, MD, FACP
Associate Professor/Clinical
Dr. Yogita Sharma-Segon is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Associate Professor/Clinical at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in August 2021. Dr. Sharma-Segon earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College in India in 2005 before going on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI in 2014.
Dr. Sharma-Segon is the recipient of several honors including the "Faculty Development Award" (2017, 2019), Medical College of Wisconsin's "Outstanding Medical Student Teaching Award" (2017, 2018, 2020), and the "Edward J. Lennon Endowed Clinical Teaching Award" (2020). She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) in January 2020 and is also a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement (SPAQI).
