Rene A. Sepulveda, M.D.
He attended the University of Puerto Rico for his undergraduate degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then obtained his MD degree at the University of Puerto Rico medical school. He interned at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas and went on to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC for his urology residency. Including medical school, residency and subsequent service, Dr. Sepulveda left active duty service as a lieutenant colonel after 13 1/2 years. He then went into private practice (Urology) in San Antonio and retired after 30 years. Upon retirement, he joined the South Texas Veteran’s Healthcare System in San Antonio where he became Chief of Urology for a period of five years. He then transferred to the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, where he is currently an associate professor. Dr Sepulveda provides clinical, surgical & resident supervision services at the South Texas Veteran’s Health Care System in San Antonio.
