Jose Roble, MD

Dr. Jose Roble is a dedicated physician and U.S. Army Officer currently advancing his expertise as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also serves on the faculty as an OB/GYN specialist.

Dr. Roble's academic foundation was established at Florida International University (FIU), where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2011. He continued his studies at FIU, completing a Master's degree in Microbiology in 2015, which included research on bioluminescent marine bacteria, and his Medical Degree in 2019.

Driven by a commitment to service, Dr. Roble commissioned as a U.S. Army Officer in 2015. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Honolulu, HI. His residency research focused on enhancing medical education and patient care through the development of a perineal repair simulation model and a new outpatient foley bulb protocol.

Following residency, he served as a general OB/GYN practitioner at TAMC for one year. During this time, Dr. Roble held several key leadership and educational roles, including Director of Ambulatory Services, OB/GYN Clerkship Director for the Uniformed Services University (USU), and a USUHS School of Medicine Teaching Fellow. He is a published author with several abstracts and articles in various peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Roble's clinical and research interests are centered on high-risk obstetrics, specifically: hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, infectious diseases affecting pregnancy, metabolic disorders, social determinants of health.
