Tania Reyna, MD, MSCS, FAAN
Associate Professor/Clinical
Tania A Reyna, MD, MSCS, FAAN, is currently an associate professor of neurology at the University of Texas at Health Science Center San Antonio. She also serves as an associate director of the UT Medicine Neurology Clinic.
Reyna graduated from the Universidad Mexico Americana del Norte in Mexico, followed by an internship and a year of practice in Mexico. After graduation, she spent time in the laboratory studying neuronal characterization in dementia at the University of Texas at Brownsville. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Upon completion of residency training, she remained there as an assistant professor to develop a program in neuroimmunology. She has a special certification in multiple sclerosis through the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers.
She has participated in many clinical trials in multiple sclerosis and has published several abstracts. Reyna is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and is very active in the multiple sclerosis community. She received the Attending of the Year award in 2013 by the neurology residents at the University of Oklahoma. She was awarded the Provider of the Year Award in 2019 by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Oklahoma Chapter.
