UT Health San Antonio

Yousef Qan'ir, PhD, MSN, RN

Assistant Professor/Clinical

As an Assistant Professor in Nursing with over ten years of clinical experience, I have developed a diverse skill set in various managerial settings and have had the privilege of working internationally. My professional journey includes experience in clinical teaching, including a role as a teaching assistant at UNC Chapel Hill, where I honed my skills in both undergraduate and graduate education.

I hold a PhD with a focus on symptom management among chronic disease patients, and my extensive research background has significantly enriched my teaching. As an Assistant Professor in Jordan, I successfully integrated research into the curriculum, providing students with a comprehensive and evidence-based education.

At UT Health San Antonio, I am eager to continue my dedication to advancing nursing education and research. The institution's commitment to excellence, community health, and interdisciplinary collaboration aligns perfectly with my professional values. I am passionate about creating a learning environment that fosters critical thinking, empathy, and the application of evidence-based practice.

Through mentoring students and engaging in innovative research, I aim to contribute to UT Health San Antonio’s mission of improving healthcare outcomes and preparing the next generation of nursing professionals.
