Subspecialties: non-invasive, general cardiovascular disease, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac nuclear imaging. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Eduardo Nicolas Pollono earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de La Plata Medical School in 1999. He completed his first cardiology fellowship at J. M. Ramos Mejia Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2004. After his fellowship he worked as non invasive cardiologist in Buenos Aires until he came to the United States. Upon arrival to United States in 2007 he did an observership at St Lukes Episcopal Hospital/Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in research at M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas until 2009. Subsequently, he completed his internal medicine training in 2012 at Texas Tech University of El Paso where he also served as the chief resident. After he completed his residency in internal medicine he moved to Tampa, Florida where he completed his second Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida between 2012 and 2015.
After his fellowship he worked in private practice in Las Cruces, New Mexico and in San Antonio, Texas. He finally joined the University of Texas Health Science Center in September 2024.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
