Specialist
Calvin Plummer is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who joined UT Health San Antonio in February 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (graduating with Distinction) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 before going on to earn his Master of Science in Nursing- AGACNP from the same institution in 2018. Mr. Plummer also has extensive experience in critical care and flight nursing and he has been a licensed Paramedic since 2002.
Mr. Plummer is the receipient of the Division of Hospital Medicine "Rookie APP of the Year Award" (2023), recognized by his peers as a rising star in the APP group. In January 2024, he was nominated for the DAISY Award, a progam meant to celebrate and recognize nurses through the collection of nominations from patients, families, and co-workers to thank them for the care and kindness they provide.
