Dr. Sarah Page-Ramsey is the Jane and Roland Blumberg for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) and Assistant Dean for Health Systems Science in the Graduate Medical Education office at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, magna cum laude, at Clemson University in SC; completed medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD; and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Her academic career has focused on medical education, where she has served in numerous roles including residency program director, senior medical student director, simulation director, and clerkship director. Her most notable contributions to medical education include the development and direction of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) “Annual Medical Student Workshops” and development of the “Senior Seminar Series” for student advising. She is an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), has served on numerous committees and offices in ACOG, the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Education Committee, Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Undergraduate Medical Education Committee and Board of Directors member, and as a member of the Milestones 2.0 Task Force for the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She also serves as the ACOG District XI Junior Fellow Advisor and as a site surveyor for the Texas Levels of Maternal Care program. She is a graduate of the APGO Scholars and Leaders Program and the ACOG Leadership Institute, is a UTHSCSA Academy of Educational Scholars (AES) faculty, and an elected faculty member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Page-Ramsey maintains a full-scope OBGYN practice in labor and delivery, gynecologic surgery, and outpatient comprehensive pregnancy and gynecology care. She has contributed to numerous abstracts, publications, lectures, workshops, and courses in women’s health and medical education. Her clinical areas of interest include gynecologic surgery, contraception, pregnancy loss, and complicated obstetrics.

Sarah served in the Air Force as an OBGYN and retired from military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in November 2014. During her military career, she was awarded the Meritorious Service Award twice and the Defense Meritorious Service Award, and was selected as a Military Healthcare System Female Physician Leadership Fellow.

Her husband, Dr. Patrick Ramsey, is also on faculty at UTHSCSA as a maternal-fetal medicine physician. They are the proud parents of 4 children.
