Dr. Mintz (retired), Professor Emeritus, held the Dielmann Distinguished Professorship for Advanced Methods in Psychiatric Research in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio. He is an internationally known clinical research methodologist with over 450 peer-reviewed publications. At UT Health San Antonio, he directs the Biostatistics, Data and Computing Services Core in Psychiatry (BDCS), a Division-level entity that provides consulting and support in research design and planning, data management, study management and biostatistical analysis. He is also the Director of Data and Statistics Cores for two large research consortia on PTSD at UT Health San Antonio, the South Texas Regional Organizational Network Guiding Studies on Trauma and Resilience (Strong Star) and the Consortium to Alleviate PTSD (CAP) and is a co-investigator on numerous extramurally funded research projects.
