Dr. C. Brock Miller is the program director for the University of Texas Health San Antonio Gastroenterology fellowship program. Dr. Miller retired from the U.S. Air Force in 7/2024 after 20 years of active service. He was most recently the longest-serving medical director of the Wilford Hall Gastroenterology clinic after staff tours at Brooke Army Medical Center, TX and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Dr. Miller was core faculty for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) Gastroenterology fellowship for 10 years, educating and mentoring 62 Air Force and Army fellows, including 16 in advanced endoscopy. He was voted the 2019-2020 Gastroenterology Staff of the Year by the fellowship. No longer performing advanced endoscopy, Dr. Miller maintains broad clinical interests with a special focus on assessing and improving the quality of endoscopic procedures.
He received his BS in Biochemistry at the United States Air Force Academy, and his MD at the Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine training in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base/Wright State University combined residency program, and served as chief resident at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was elected to the Ohio chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society following residency. He completed Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship training at the University of North Carolina, where he was trained in advanced endoscopy, and served as the chief fellow for 2 years.
