Michael A Mansueto, DDS, MS
Associate Professor/Clinical
Dr. Mansueto earned a Masters of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas in 1981 and was a prosthodontic resident at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas and received a Certificate of Training upon graduation in 1981. Dr. Mansueto served in the Air Force from 1976 to 1999, during his career he served as the director of two area dental laboratories, the dental squadron commander of the largest Air Force dental squadron, the Director of Graduate Prosthodontic Education for the Air Force, and Chairman, Department of Prosthodontics at Lackland Air Force Base. He was a prosthodontic educator for nine years, instructing in training programs for entry-level general dentists, senior-level general dentists, and prosthodontic residents. Dr. Mansueto was appointed a consultant in dental laboratory affairs, the Military Consultant in Prosthodontics to the United States Air Force Surgeon General, and Special Consultant in Prosthodontics to the Air Force Assistant Surgeon General for Dental Services. He received multiple awards and decorations, including, upon his retirement, the Department of Defense Legion of Merit Medal.
Dr. Mansueto is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Comprehensive, School of Dentistry at UT Health San Antonio since 2005. Dr. Mansueto is a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics since 2004.
