Highlights
- University Health Adult ECMO Comprehensive Training Course. This comprehensive 3-
day course was designed to provide invaluable training to the adult ECMO team member.
Utilizing both didactic and high-fidelity simulation, the learner will gain the necessary
knowledge to manage both Veno-Venous and Veno-Arterial ECMO. This course meets
the requirements for step one and two of the E-AEC certification application - 17th Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop. A 2-day course of Pediatric POCUS put on by
the UT Health Department of Emergency Medicine. - Pediatrics Teaching Excellence Workshop. A 1-day course designed to prepare
attendings and fellows for educating medical students and residents. - Business and Leadership in Medicine. Two-year program designed to teach physicians
early in their training to work more collaboratively with all members of the healthcare
team and to develop their leadership skills to be more effective managers and leaders.
Taught in collaboration with UT Health San Antonio Department of Pediatrics Residency
Office and Professors from the Masters in Healthcare Administration program at Trinity
University.
