Terry Lund, MD

Dr. Terry Lund began his career at UT San Antonio as a medical student, earning his Doctor of Medicine from UTHSCSA in 2019 before completing his Internal Medicine residency at UTHSCSA in 2022, where he served as Chief Resident from 2021-2022. He then transitioned into his role as a Hospitalist and Co-Director of the Medicine Procedure Service at the South Texas Veterans' Health Care System. Dr. Lund also serves as a resource for point-of-care ultrasound education, having conducted workshops at the annual UT Health Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop Symposium.

Dr. Lund is the recipient of several honors including the Department of Medicine's "Faculty Mentor of the Year" (2026) award, the Division of Hospital Medicine's "Rookie of the Year" (2025) award, "Outstanding Faculty Award" (2024), "Clinical Documentation Excellence Award" (2024), "Outstanding Resident Award" (2021), "Most Compassionate Resident Award" (2021), "Outstanding Intern Award" (2020), and the "Medical Dean's Award" (2019). He is a member of both the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
