Erin Lopez, MD, FARS

Dr. Erin Mamuyac Lopez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at UT San Antonio Long School of Medicine. 

She graduated from medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, and completed her residency in Otolaryngology-HNS at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She completed her fellowship in Neurorhinology – Advanced Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. 

Dr. Lopez has been on faculty since 2023 and has extensive experience in advanced sinus surgery and skull base surgery techniques, including expanded endonasal and open approaches and revision sinus surgery. She treats the full spectrum of sinus disease, including inflammatory conditions (chronic sinusitis with and without nasal polyps), and benign and malignant sinonasal tumors. 

She also works with her neurosurgery partners as a part of the UT San Antonio academic campus skull base surgery team to perform endoscopic and open surgery on pituitary tumors, CSF leaks/encephaloceles, as well as benign tumors and cancers of the skull base.
