Renee Lastrapes, PhD is a Professor and Program Director for the PhD in Health Sciences. She received her PhD in Applied Research, Measurement, and Evaluation with a PhD minor in applied statistics from Louisiana State University. She has been a quantitative methodologist for over 10 years in doctoral programs in higher education, both in a college of education (UH-Clear Lake) and schools of health professions (UTMB and UT Health San Antonio). Prior to her career in higher education, she was a K-12 special education teacher and her areas of research are in behavioral interventions for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders as well as teachers' knowledge and use of evidence-based behavioral and educational practices.
