Mahalakshmi Krishnamoorthy, MD

Assistant Professor/Clinical

Dr. Mahalakshmi Krishnamoorthy is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio in November 2024 as an Assistant Professor/Clinical at the Multispecialty and Research Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College in India in 2005 before going on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the Canton Medical Education Foundation in Canton, OH in 2015 (serving as Chief Resident from 2014 to 2015). She is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Krishnamoorthy is the recipient of many accolades including the "Faculty Excecllence in Teaching Award" (2022) from the Memorial Healthcare System's Internal Medicine Residency program.
