An accomplished Advance Practice Clinical Leader and Educator, providing over 25 years of military experience. Previous experiences within the military helped shape and foster the fundamental elements of Dr. Kertes’s educational philosophy, as well as his leadership principles. The experiences obtained from austere combat deployments, the Defense Healthcare System and the US Army’s Medical Center of Excellence has allowed Dr. Kertes to develop into an evidence based driven anesthesia provider. This mindset allows the focus to be patient centered while bringing new evidence to the bedside that benefits the patient and the healthcare delivery system. The collaborative beneficial approach is a keystone for educational foundations that forms during didactic and clinical delivery of nursing education.
