Assistant Professor - Research

My research focuses on understanding how aging disrupts protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and how this dysregulation drives tissue dysfunction and age-related diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and osteoporosis. I investigate age-associated alterations in mRNA translation efficiency and fidelity across tissues using integrated omics approaches, such as ribosome profiling, polysome profiling, and RNA epitranscriptomic analyses. The goal of my research is to identify actionable targets and biomarkers for precision gerotherapeutics that treat age-related diseases, enhance healthspan, and mitigate functional decline during aging.
