Dr. Lara Jones earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2016. Dr. Jones completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the UT Health San Antonio, where she also served as Chief Resident. Following her residency, she pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care and is currently completing a fellowship in Pulmonary Transplant at the same institution.

Throughout her training and career, Dr. Jones has received numerous awards, including the Jay Peters Humanitarian Award, the Patient Institute Leadership and Professionalism Award, and several recognitions as Fellow of the Year in both Pulmonary/Critical Care and Internal Medicine. Her research interests are reflected in her contributions to national conferences such as ISHLT and CHEST, where she has presented on a range of topics from acute kidney injury in lung transplants to complications in immunosuppressed patients.
