Stephanie Highsmith, NP

Stephanie Highsmith has over 10 years of nursing experience including acute care, education, and oncology. She started her nursing career at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. In the PICU, she held many leadership roles and mentored nursing students. Also during this time, she was adjunct clinical faculty for Pediatrics at the Loewenberg College of Nursing at the University of Memphis. In 2017, she transitioned to the Leukemia Service at St. Jude as an inpatient nurse practitioner where she performed diagnostic procedures and took care of hospitalized patients. She left Memphis, TN in 2019 and landed in San Antonio where she worked in Pediatric Primary Care before beginning work at UT Health.
