Stephanie Highsmith, NP
With over 10 years of diverse nursing experience, Stephanie Highsmith has demonstrated expertise in acute care, education, and oncology. She began her career at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, where she worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). During her time in the PICU, Stephanie held several leadership roles, mentored nursing students, and served as adjunct clinical faculty in Pediatrics at the Loewenberg College of Nursing at the University of Memphis.
In 2017, she transitioned to the Leukemia Service at St. Jude, where she served as an inpatient nurse practitioner. There, she specialized in performing diagnostic procedures and providing care for hospitalized patients. In 2019, Stephanie relocated to San Antonio, where she initially worked in Pediatric Primary Care before joining UT Health.
For the past four years, Stephanie has been an integral part of the Gynecology Oncology Division at UT Health, primarily serving in the inpatient setting. Moving forward, she will continue her work with gynecologic oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, expanding her impact and furthering her commitment to comprehensive patient care.
