Dr. David Heath is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, with expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and hip, as well as shoulder replacement surgery.
Dr. Heath completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio before advancing his training with a prestigious fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During his fellowship, Dr. Heath served as an Assistant Team Physician for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA), Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA), Red Bull, and UCLA Athletics.
Currently, Dr. Heath is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Health San Antonio and is a Team Physician for University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Athletics. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Heath has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to orthopaedic literature.
