Oriana Haran, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Oriana Haran is a double fellowship-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at UT Health San Antonio. She earned her medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela and completed her Plastic Surgery residency at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital) in Israel, where she served as a staff member in the Breast Reconstruction Unit.
Pursuing further specialization, Dr. Haran completed a Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, followed by an Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship in Chicago. Her expertise spans both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, with a particular focus on procedures of the face and breast.
At UT Health San Antonio, Dr. Haran plays a pivotal role in orthoplastic surgery, collaborating with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery to provide advanced limb reconstruction following lower extremity trauma, with limb salvage as the ultimate goal. By integrating microsurgical techniques with orthopedic principles, she works to restore both function and aesthetics, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Haran also specializes in breast reconstruction, offering both implant-based and autologous tissue techniques to restore natural form and function.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew, Dr. Haran is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care to her diverse patient population. Outside of medicine, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending quality time with her daughter.
