Andrew Gonzalez, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor/Clinical
Dr. Andrew Gonzalez is a board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Assistant Professor/Clinical in July 2021. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology (graduating Cum Laude) from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX in 2014 before going on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2018; he also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Houston School of Public Health which he earned in 2017. Dr. Gonzalez then completed his Internal Medicine residency, Advanced Inpatient Medicine Skills (AIMS) Track, at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in June 2021.
Dr. Gonzalez is the recipient of the "Outstanding Resident" Award from UTHSCSA (2020) and the Long School of Medicine Office of Admissions and Outreach "Hall of Fame" Award (2018). He is a member of the American College of Physicians as well as the Society of Hospital Medicine.
