Robert T. Gilson, M.D.

Associate Professor

Program Director, Residency Program

Dr. Robert T. Gilson is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Residency Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and specializes in dermatology. He did his undergraduate training at the University of Notre Dame and his medical training at UT Health Science Center at Houston. Upon graduation, he worked for the United States Air Force in internal medicine and then further trained in dermatology. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years and joined the faculty at UT Health San Antonio. His interests are in contact dermatitis, patch testing and general medical dermatology. He is active in his dermatology clinic and teaches and trains dermatology residents.
