Ashley Gershner, PA-C

Ashley Gershner, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate licensed in both Texas and Oklahoma, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She currently serves as a Physician Associate in the Department of Orthopaedics at UT Health San Antonio, where she specializes in evaluating and managing joint and soft tissue disorders.

Ashley brings extensive orthopaedic experience from both clinic and surgical settings, with particular insight into the pain and functional challenges patients face following injury or surgery. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal care.

Originally from Arkansas, Ashley earned her Master of Health Sciences (MHS) degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Westminster College. Before joining UT Health San Antonio, she worked as an advanced orthopaedic PA in both clinic and surgical settings in San Antonio and Arkansas.

Outside of work, Ashley is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, taking long runs, hiking new trails, and exploring hidden travel destinations. She enjoys spending her downtime with her husband, Dr. Grant Gershner, and their pets.
