Sean E Garcia, MD
Professor / Clinical
Garcia, Sean is a Professor / Clinical in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine and has been with the institution since 2002. Dr. Garcia received his MD from the University of Arizona in 1999. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and a Chief Resident year at UT Health Science Center San Antonio in 2002. Dr. Garcia has expertise in preclinical medical education and interprofessional education. He has been recognized by numerous teaching awards. He maintains an active clinical service at University Hospital, where he is an Associate Section Chief.

Funding Agency UTHSCSA, Center for Humanities and Medical Ethics, School of Medicine, Mini/Midi Grants Title Center for Humanities and Medical Ethics Midi Grant Status Complete Period 4/2017 - 4/2018 Role Co-Investigator Grant Detail This was a grant provided by Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics for a community service learning project to provide clinical services for the unfunded LGBTQ+ population. The grant allowed the clinic to be implemented and was used to cover laboratory costs and medications for the patients.
