Ryan Fortune, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor/Clinical
On his road into medical research, Dr. Fortune stumbled into medicine and fell in love with primary care. His interests include preventative medicine, medical education, addiction, evidence based care, and research. As a graduate student, he was a CCTS T32 fellow and presented his research findings at conferences in 3 different states. He currently serves as an officer in the Army National Guard, where he has managed COVID outbreaks, trained medics, and improved medical readiness. A native Texan, Dr. Fortune and his wife moved to San Antonio in 2021 to raise their two children.
