Megan L Favor, DDS, MS

Dr. Favor, is an orthodontist based in Hondo, Texas, dedicated to providing exceptional orthodontic care to her community. A native of Hondo, she was raised among family and friends who still reside in the area. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas State University in 2014, before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) School of Dentistry in 2016. She went on to complete her Orthodontic Residency at UT Health San Antonio, where her master’s thesis focused on comparing the bonding strength and adhesive remnant between different orthodontic bracket base designs.

Dr. Favor has contributed to research in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), including developing evidence-based protocols for screening and management in dental clinics, and has participated in multi-disciplinary collaborations involving faculty, residents, and private practitioners.

She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Castroville Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her professional commitments, she serves as Council Secretary for St. Paul Lutheran Church.
